Cats are carnivores and depend on prey animals. It is precisely this natural eating behavior that forms the basis of our Natural Prey Concept. Since 2010, we at catz finefood® have been developing recipes based on the typical prey animals of cats—always with the aim of offering species-appropriate premium quality.

This means fresh meat or fish, supplemented with selected oils, vegetables, and fruit. This combination of ingredients reflects the natural stomach contents of typical prey animals and ensures highly digestible, balanced meals.

Cats follow their instincts—they hunt, shake, and eat their prey from head to tail. That's why we rely on real, high-quality protein sources from muscle meat and offal. We also add ingredients such as salmon oil to round out the natural nutrient content.

However, our Natural Prey Concept is more than just a nutritional philosophy: it stands for uncompromising quality, transparent ingredients, and responsible production. All varieties of catz finefood® are produced in Germany or Switzerland, are GMO-free, and contain no grains, added sugar, or artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.

This results in food that is in tune with the nature of cats—high-quality, instinct-driven, and as pure as possible.

Our Natural Prey Concept has always focused on one question: How can we feed cats in a way that is as natural and balanced as possible? This aspiration has been with us since 2010 and continues to evolve.

To ensure that our food continues to meet the needs of modern cats, we have carefully refined selected recipes as part of a relaunch, without changing their proven quality. Our goal: to provide your cat with even better care—natural, balanced, and in line with the latest nutritional findings.

To this end, some varieties have been supplemented with functional ingredients, which vary depending on the product line. Examples of this are:

• Coconut is rich in fiber and provides healthy fatty acids, especially medium-chain fatty acids, which are easily digestible for cats.
• Green-lipped mussel extract – contains natural substances (chondroitin, glucosamine, omega-3 fatty acids) that can be particularly helpful for active or older cats.
• Cranberries – provide valuable phytochemicals and antioxidants.
• Raspberries – provide natural antioxidants and fiber.
• Apple pieces – are a gentle source of fiber and provide natural dietary fiber.
• Salmon oil – is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and helps support normal bodily functions and supply essential fatty acids.
• Evening primrose oil provides naturally occurring omega-6 fatty acids (gamma-linolenic acid) and is a natural source of valuable fatty acids. It also helps support normal skin and metabolic functions.

These ingredients have been carefully selected and are in line with the Natural Prey Concept: natural components that are beneficial and harmoniously supplement your cat's diet.
